In addition to the OPAC for the AIP-library holdings, you have the possibility to search in numerous regional, national and worldwide reference systems. We have compiled an overview of the most important catalogs for you.
Karlsruhe Virtual Catalog (KVK)
The KVK is a meta search engine operated by the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). It enables the simultaneous worldwide search in numerous library and book trade catalogs. Several hundred million books, journals and other forms of media can be found.
KOBV portal
The research portal of the Cooperative Library Network Berlin-Brandenburg (KOBV) provides access to research in numerous library collections from the Berlin and Brandenburg area. Currently, 83 online catalogs can be searched with the indexed holdings from several hundred libraries (as of Nov. 2022). The portal is based on a Discovery system and additionally allows searching in the article data of the numerous journals that centrally register their Digital Object Identifier (DOI) at Crossref. European Southern Observatory (ESO) Library Catalog
The ESO library catalog contains references to all library holdings of the ESO libraries in Garching and Santiago. This includes physical holdings, electronic books and journals, as well as other online resources.
Library of Congress (LoC)
The LoC is the research library of the United States Congress. In addition to this important mission, it is also open to the public and is one of the largest and most important libraries in the world, with its holdings of 171 million items (as of Nov. 2022). Searchable holdings include items of all kinds - books, periodicals, manuscripts, maps, sound recordings, film footage, images, electronic resources, and more.
