Mechanical Engineering

The main task of the Mechanical Engineering group is the design of new and further development of optomechanical individual components, tools, equipment and products at modern CAD computer workstations for the institute's instrumentation projects. State-of-the-art FEM software is used to ensure the optimal function of individual parts and entire components. The team supports assembly and verification activities in the laboratories and integration halls provided for this purpose.

The mechanical engineering group operates 3D printers, plotters and uses tactile coordinate measuring systems to verify individual parts and assemblies.
