The Optics group, which is part of Technical Section, accompanies, advises and supports instrumentation projects at the institute with its expertise in all devices involving light and optics.
In addition to calculations of beam paths, the evaluation of optical systems taking into account the required demands and the provision of specifications for optical components, the group also supports the construction and adjustment of optical components. In this context, verification procedures are developed to test the realised systems for the specified requirements.
In addition, the team develops special manufacturing and verification processes for fibre optic components.
