I am a doctoral candidate at AIP in the Dwarf Galaxies and the Galactic Halo group since late 2024, under the mentorship of Prof. Dr. Maria-Rosa Cioni and Dr. Florian Niederhofer. My research focuses on studying the internal kinematics of the inner regions of the Magellanic Clouds using observational data from astronomical surveys such as VMC, Gaia, and 4MOST. My work involves deriving the proper motions of stars in the inner regions of the Clouds to understand their structural and dynamic evolution. This project is supported by a DFG grant.
I completed my Master's in Astrophysics at the University of Potsdam, where my thesis focused on the internal kinematics of the Large Magellanic Cloud (LMC). I derived stellar proper motions from the VISTA VMC survey and analyzed the kinematic signatures resulting from the interaction between the LMC, the Milky Way, and the Small Magellanic Cloud.
