School internships at AIP
Are you interested in astrophysics and fascinated by scientific phenomena? Physics and mathematics are among your favourite school subjects? If you are not afraid of the English language and have experience with computers, perhaps even with programming, you should apply for a student internship at the AIP. Students can serve a one to three week internship at the institute within the framework of the student internship in the 9th to 11th grade.
In addition to the various research sections, the Library, IT Service, Public Relations and the Technical Section offer opportunities for an internship. Please check our website to find out which sections interest you the most. Then send your application including a cover letter, CV and your most recent school report to presse@aip.de. If you have already taken part in, e.g., math competitions or "Jugend forscht", please enclose certificates. Very good grades in science classes and English are an advantage. We would also like to know why you are interested in astrophysics and why you are applying to the AIP specifically.
Since demand is very high, we may need a few weeks to find a supervisor for you. Internships for the current school year are often occupied within two months. Applying quickly is always a good idea!
