The VAriability MOnitoring of exoplanet host Stars (VAMOS) project monitors a number of exoplanet host stars with the STELLA-WifSIP instrument for photometric variability. This is used to characterize the magnetic activity and starspot coverage of the host star. This information is crucial to measure correct parameters of exoplanet atmospheres: if an exoplanet covers a starspot during its transit, the transit light curves and transmission spectra experience distortions. The VAMOS project alloes us to disentangle stellar surface effects from genuine exoplanet atmosphere signals.
