VATT-PEPSI-TESS survey
The TESS space telescope is collecting light curves of stars for the purposes of exoplanet detection, asteroseismology, and stellar flare studies. The VATT-PEPSI-TESS survey uses the Vatican Telescope together with the high-resolution PEPSI spectrograph to characterize stars observed with TESS near the Northern ecliptic pole, where the longest TESS light curves are being obtained. The spectra are used to study stellar radial velocities, chemical abundances, and stellar activity, among other properties.
