Activity graph of the Leonid meteor shower in 2002
Two peaks high rates of shooting stars were predicted
for November 19, 2002. The first one, near 4h UT was
seen over Europe and northern Africa, the second one,
near 11h UT, was observed from the Americas. The graph
shows the activity in terms of a Zenithal Hourly Rate
which scales meteor rates to a visual limiting magnitude
of +6.5 and zenith position of the Leonid radiant.
The solar longitude denotes the position of Earth on its orbit
